On Saturday, June 28, LTP Daniel Island hosted an inspiring morning of competition, connection, and community at the Special Olympics Pickleball Unified Tournament. Twenty athletes from Charleston and Berkeley counties participated in both individual skills challenges and unified doubles matches, supported by an incredible group of partners, families, and volunteers. The energy on the courts was electric—from powerful rallies to heartfelt high-fives—and the event highlighted the impact of inclusive programming made possible through the efforts of Sue and Steve Gilroy and their nonprofit, Making Anything Possible. LTP Charleston is proud to support this growing program and celebrate every athlete who made the day so special.
