LTP Charleston Summer Camps Provide a Premier Training Ground for Young Athletes

As summer approaches, young athletes across the Lowcountry are gearing up for a season of growth, competition and fun at LTP Charleston Summer Camps. With programs designed for both tennis and pickleball players, these camps offer a unique blend of expert coaching, structured training, and an engaging atmosphere that keeps participants coming back year after year.

LTP Charleston has long been recognized as a hub for racquet sports, and its summer camps reflect that reputation. With locations in Mount Pleasant and Daniel Island, the camps attract players of all skill levels, from beginners learning the basics to competitive athletes looking to refine their technique.

“Summer is an important time for young players to develop their skills, but it should also be fun,” said Patrick Hieber, General Manager of LTP Academy. “We focus on a balance of technical training, fitness, and match play, while also fostering a positive and energetic environment.”

The tennis camps are divided into two programs: the Academy & High Performance (HP) Camp at LTP Mount Pleasant, which runs from May 26 to August 8, and the U12 ROGY Development Program at LTP Daniel Island. The Academy & HP camp offers full-day training for serious competitors, while the U12 program is tailored for younger players working on foundational skills.

Meanwhile, pickleball continues to grow in popularity, and LTP is offering three specialized pickleball camp sessions on June 9, July 14, and August 4 at its Daniel Island facility. Designed for both new and intermediate players, the camp provides an opportunity to learn strategy, technique, and gameplay in one of the nation’s fastest-growing sports.

Beyond skill development, the camps also provide an important sense of community. Many participants return each summer, forming friendships both on and off the court.

“We see players come in at a young age and grow into competitive athletes over the years,” said Heiber.  “It’s rewarding to watch their confidence and love for the game develop.”

As LTP Charleston continues to expand its offerings in tennis, pickleball and padel, the summer camps serve as a cornerstone of its commitment to fostering the next generation of athletes.
