LTP Juniors Shine During Finals Weekend at Cincinnati Open

August 19, 2025 Tournament

Two LTP Charleston juniors delivered standout performances this past weekend at the ellesse Junior Championships, held during Finals Weekend of the Cincinnati Open—one of the most prestigious stops on the professional tennis calendar.

Held on the very same courts where the pros compete, this USTA Level 3 National event gave top juniors from across the country a chance to test their skills in a championship setting.

Representing LTP Daniel Island:

  • Francie Pate (Daniel Island, SC) teamed up with Olivia Dartawan (Schenectady, NY) to win the Girls’ Doubles title.
  • Lucas Smith (Daniel Island, SC) and Graeme Angus (Beaufort, SC) took home the Boys’ Doubles title after a strong showing in the finals.

“As someone who cares deeply about both Mason and Charleston, it was a proud moment to see players from each community compete side-by-side,” said Bob Moran, President of Beemok Sports & Entertainment and Tournament Director of the Cincinnati Open. “It speaks to the power of tennis to connect communities and create lasting experiences for these young athletes.”

The ellesse Junior Championships brought together 32 singles players and 16 doubles teams in both boys’ and girls’ draws, with finalists earning tickets to the men’s and women’s pro finals at the tournament.

We’re incredibly proud of Francie, Luke, and all the LTP athletes representing the next generation of American tennis.
