Nation’s Top Junior Tennis Players Head to Charleston for USTA Girls’ 18 National Clay Court Championships

July 2, 2026 Tournament

USTA Girls’ 18 National Clay Court Championships return July 5-12 at LTP Tennis Charleston.

While the world’s best battle for a Grand Slam title at Wimbledon, more than 200 of America’s top junior players are heading to Charleston with dreams of one day competing on tennis’ biggest stages.

From July 5-12, LTP Charleston will host the USTA Girls’ 18 National Clay Court Championships, welcoming one of the nation’s strongest fields of junior talent to LTP Mount Pleasant, LTP Daniel Island and the Daniel Island Club. As a USTA Level 1 National Championship, the tournament represents the highest level of junior tennis in the United States and has long been a launching pad for future collegiate standouts and professional players.

Admission is free throughout the week, giving fans a rare opportunity to watch elite competition in an intimate setting before many of these athletes become household names.

Two LTP Academy players will compete in the championship draw. Julie Seversen, the highest-ranked local player in the field, enters as a Blue-Chip recruit ranked No. 19 nationally in the Class of 2028 after posting a 48-24 record over the past year. She’ll be joined by fellow LTP Academy player Alice Thompson, showcasing the strength of the academy on its home courts.

The tournament is led by top seed Maria Navarro, the nation’s No. 18-ranked player in the Class of 2027, alongside a deep field that includes nationally ranked standouts Calla McGill, Shristi Selvan, Reese Frank, Lyla Middleton, Reagan Levine, Sadira Ouyang and Emily Morgan.

“Hosting this championship is about more than great tennis,” said Patrick Hieber, Director of Tennis at LTP. “It’s an opportunity to support these athletes at an important stage in their development while showcasing Charleston as one of the country’s premier destinations for junior tennis. We’re proud to see two LTP Academy players competing in this year’s field, a reflection of the work happening here every day. Whether you’re a lifelong fan or simply looking for something fun to do this week, you’ll see an incredible level of competition.”

In addition to championship play, LTP will host a free College Coaches Forum, giving tournament participants and their families the opportunity to connect with college coaches and learn more about the recruiting process.

Whether you’re a lifelong tennis fan following Wimbledon or simply looking for something fun to do this week, there’s no better place to experience the future of American tennis than right here in Charleston.
