Marcela ZacariasLTP Academy Coach
Marcela Zacarías is a former professional tennis player who joined LTP in 2024. Throughout her remarkable career, Marcela achieved a career-high WTA ranking of #150 in singles and #120 in doubles, earning 16 ITF singles titles and 27 ITF doubles titles along the way. When she’s not on the court, Marcela enjoys spending time at the beach and diving into Charleston’s culinary scene.
Playing Experience
Her talent was evident early on, as she reached an ITF junior ranking of #7 in the world and competed in qualifying events for all Grand Slam tournaments. For over a decade, Marcela was a cornerstone of the Mexican Billie Jean King Cup team, where she still holds the record for the most singles wins.
Coaching Experience
Now retired from professional play, Marcela continued to share her expertise as an assistant coach for the Mexican Billie Jean King Cup team. At LTP, she is excited to help players of all levels reach their full potential.
