Tennis has been part of Sarah Hamner’s life since she picked up a racket at age 4 in Fort Collins, Colo. As a junior, she relocated to Florida to train at the USTA National Campus, developing her game at one of the most competitive development programs in the country. That investment paid off: Hamner climbed to the No. 1 ranking in USTA Girls 18s, establishing herself as one of the top junior players in the nation.
She carried that competitive drive to the University of South Carolina, where she reached No. 1 in the collegiate rankings and won the ITA All-American event in 2025, hosted right here at LTP Mount Pleasant. She graduated with a degree in Business Marketing. Though a current injury has sidelined her from competition, Hamner has channeled her passion for the sport into coaching. “I absolutely love tennis,” she says. “I enjoy sharing my passion with the young summer tennis campers at LTP Daniel Island.”
